Lady Gaga-Disco Heaven

Yeah, it's a Lady Gaga B-sides album. If you have a problem with that, I don't care. Some of these are hilariously bad, like "Shake Ure Kitty." Some are catchy-as-hell but bad, like "Christmas Tree." But I am a Lady Gaga fan, and some of these songs are amazing. "Let Love Down" is reminiscent of any of Freddie Mercury's piano-driven songs. The acoustic or acapella versions of the songs on The Fame and The Fame Monster are pretty awesome too! I said I'd post it, and I did. Hataz gonna hate.

V/A - Dynamite With a Laserbeam: Queen as Heard Through the Meat Grinder of Three One G

Okay, Queen is my favorite band of all-time ever, so when someone makes a shitty tribute album, I get pizzed. That being said, THIS ALBUM IS FUCKING AMAZING. If you don't like noisy stuff, you can probably steer clear, though. Three One G artists managed to construct an entire album of Queen songs that are totally not insulting or shitty. This doesn't follow the regular form of a tribute album at all, seeing as it's less covers and more creative takes, so that would make it a real tribute album. This shit is dank, dawg! THERE ARE NO APOLOGIES FOR HOW MANY GODDAMN CAPITALS AND EXCLAMATION POINTS ARE UP IN THIS SHIT!!!!! It's got The Locust, Das Oath, Melt Banana, Spacewurm, and a bunch of other swt bands. Seriously, best album on this blog...ever. Flash's Theme will destroy your organs from the inside out.

Pinhead Gunpowder - Jump Salty

So, I really don't know what to say about this. Catchy-as-fuck punk that sounds kinda like Fifteen. Sounds like it came from the Gilman St. crowd because it did. It's got Billie Joe from Green Day and is...pretty great. It's got an awesome Joni Mitchell cover that's way better than the cover they were playing on the FM a couple years back. I'm terrible at posting often, but I found this worth it, if not writing much about.

Fleabag - S/T Demotape

I saw this band sometime in June of this year and immediately fell in love with everything about them. Fleabag's stage presence is what you'd expect out of the rather "shy kid" ethos that they carry around. I was too intimidated to talk to their vocalist and it makes me feel like a total asshole. Their drummer used to be in Rosa (but really, they sound nothing like that). It's worth noting that there's a fuck-up in one of these songs due to tape-complications. Best three dollars I ever spent, and it's one of those albums that has gotten me through moving twice this year and experiencing heartbreak. I tend to be bad at describing things, but this could be called female-fronted kawaii/artsy/queer/pop-punk or something along those lines. Hopefully this will make you want to cuddle with a transkid with big glasses. It makes me feel okay about my social problems.
